Sleep… and How Much Are You Really Getting?

Let’s talk about sleep. Are you getting enough?

If you'd asked me a few years ago, my answer would have been a flat no. For the past 5–6 years, I’ve been on a real journey with sleep, navigating the ups and downs of peri-menopause and menopause. And let me tell you – it was tough. I genuinely thought I’d never sleep properly again.

Like so many others, I dealt with all the classic menopausal delights – hot flashes, mood swings, night sweats, the works. Eventually, for the sake of my own sanity, I had to go on HRT. It helped, especially with the hot flashes, and I did notice some improvement in my sleep. But it still wasn’t good enough. I was dragging myself through the days, barely functioning. My brain felt foggy, I was constantly exhausted, and the simplest tasks felt overwhelming.

And then, everything changed.

I bought the PEMF mat (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy), mostly to help with my back issues and to include in the business. The day I purchased it, I spent all afternoon reading through the information about how it works and how to use it for specific problems. I was curious to see how it would feel, so I decided to try the RELAX setting for just 8 minutes – a gentle start that wouldn’t overstimulate my body before bed, especially since it was my first go

What happened next still amazes me.

That night, for the first time in almost a decade, I slept for 9.5 hours. Yes – nine and a half. I did get up for my usual wee and thought, "Well, that’s it – I’ll be tossing and turning for the rest of the night." But no. I got back into bed and fell straight back to sleep. I woke up feeling alive. My body was energised, my head was clear, and I was actually excited to start the day. It felt like a miracle.

Since then, I’ve been using the PEMF mat regularly specifically for my back – around 16 minutes, 4 times a week – and my sleep has continued to improve. These days I’m getting between 7.5 to 9 hours a night, which is a massive difference from the 4 to 6 hours (of broken sleep!) I used to get. Not only is my sleep deeper, but my recovery, focus, and energy have skyrocketed.

If you're struggling with sleep – whether it’s menopause-related, stress-induced, or just that frustrating middle-of-the-night wakefulness – I urge you to try a PEMF mat session. It’s not just a one-time magic fix, but with regular sessions (and yes, I do offer concession cards to make it more affordable), the results can be life-changing.

Trust me – I’ve been there. And I finally feel like myself again.

I’d love to help you experience the same.

Hope to see you soon!
